My Top 4 Board & Card Games
1) Catan
Catan is one of my favorite board games of all time. Super fun, strategic, and competitive game that always takes over my game nights. The goal of the game is to try to have the most points on the island by building settlements, cities, and roads. On every turn, you have to roll a dice to determine what resources the island produces. Players build by spending resources (sheep, wheat, wood, brick and ore) and then points are accumulated by building settlements and cities.
2) Monopoly Deal
I used to love playing Monopoly. But, sometimes it would take way too long for the game to end and that’s where Monopoly Deal comes in. By far my favorite card game so far, Monopoly Deal is a card game version of the board game and the gameplay goes by much quicker. Cards can be properties from around the board and there are cards that collect properties, charge rent, and build your fortune.
3) Exploding Kitten
My second favorite card game is Exploding Kittens. It’s like Russian Roulette where each player has to take turns drawing cards until someone draws an exploding kitten and loses the game. The deck has cards that let you avoid the exploding kittens by peeking at cards before you draw, forcing your opponent to draw multiple cards, shuffling the cards, or defuse the exploding kitten.
4) Taboo
One of my favorite party board games, each player takes turns describing a word on the top of a card to their group without using any of the words on the bottom of the card. The other group you are playing against watches a timer and makes sure you don’t say any of the words on the bottom. If your group guesses the card correctly, you get a point.

Aw, this was a really nice post. Spending some time and actual effort to produce a really good article… but what can I say… I hesitate a whole lot and don’t seem to get nearly anything done.
